my laptop was fixed. The data from the hard drive could not be recovered, however I was able to use my laptop. It was just that I could no longer retrieve the data from the hard drive. but who cares. Almost everyone these days have their data on the cloud storage like google drives.
They were really quick- resolved this in less than 24 hrs
